A place where folks will listen
Enter the wilderness
I see him
I say ‘Brother I’m thirsty’
That other world wasn’t working for me Too much of too many things
Was it working for you?
Honest?
I wasn’t winning/Realised all this time I’d been sinning/I needed cleansing, a new beginning/That other world wasn’t working for me/I’m sure glad to have your company/Now murmur to me/We got some cold rock to break/Some sweet ether to drink/They said I needed a shrink/I’m no longer just a freak for them to stare at and shake

Chorus:
Ice pick, break up the rock Take a good shot what you got I was born honest
I’ll die honest with you
This place ain’t so strange to be Far less things matter to me Now I’m making a living
He is my living
Now I’m making my life
There are just two of us Now we must spectate We’ve done wrong Now let’s apologise And excuse ourselves Expel ourselves
To somewhere else
Somewhere where all tears have been shed And we can break bread
Take a shot, take a shot, take a shot, take a shot
Drink the water, drink the water, drink the water, drink the water
Chorus x2
I’ll die honest with you
I have the last couple of albums. They are great, but this one just smashes it. Dark, hard, but has such great flow. It really balances everything so well across the album. a fav listen. Imnotevans
